If until now, I used to prepare the famous easy pan-fried steak, which is still one of my favourites, now I will make a delicious ribeye steak in my air fryer. You will see that the simpler the recipe, the more delicious the steak will be.
Why in Air Fryer?
First of all, because you don’t have to sit next to the pan to fry, turn and baste the steak, you preheat the air fryer, put the steak inside and after a few minutes, it’s ready.
So it gives you a certain freedom of movement, you can do something else during this time (for example salad), and you can be sure that the steak will always come out the same, there is no possibility to overcook it.
And last but not least, because it is healthier if we use very little or no oil and there the meat is no burn, will be cooked perfectly.
The simplicity of this recipe is also given by the fact that we only need ribeye steak, a 250 g (0.5 lb) slice if you cook only for one person.
Try to buy slices of ribeye steak matured for at least 28 days and sliced at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick, and the meat contains some fat inside, to be marbled, only then you will get great aromas, and the steak will be soft and tasty.
How to Make the Ribeye Steak in Air Fryer?
Preparing the Meat
Either way, you will cook the steak; remember it is good to take it out of the fridge and leave it at room temperature at least half an hour before. I usually keep it wallpapered in a paper towel to absorb excess water or moisture from the meat, leaving it much drier.
After that, season it with sea salt flakes, freshly ground black pepper and a little garlic powder to enhance the flavour.
How to Cook the Ribeye Steak in Air Fryer?
During this time, I preheat the air fryer to 205 Celsius for four minutes; my Cosori air fryer has a presets button for preheating. After preheating, line the drawer with parchment paper, not before heating, and spray with a bit of olive oil so that the meat does not stick.
I put the seasoned ribeye steak in the air fryer and turned it to 205 Celsius (400 F) for six minutes.
Why Cosori Air Fryer?
I recommend this Cosori air fryer because it has preset for different types of food to be cooked such as steak, seafood, shrimp, chicken, french fries, vegetables, root vegetables, desserts, bread and frozen foods.
How Long to Cook Ribeye Steak in Air Fryer?
In our case, I select steak; after that, I choose how to cook the steak: rare-6 minutes, medium-8 minutes, well done for 10 minutes, and press start.
So for six minutes, I didn’t have to do anything, I didn’t even turn the meat to the other side, after which my ribeye steak in air fryer was ready.
Resting the Steak
Carefully remove the steak from a plate, taking care that the appliance is hot, and let it rest for about 3-4 minutes, after which it can be served.
I recommend serving the air fryer ribeye steak as I did, that is, on a bed of cherry tomato salad dressing over which I poured a little balsamic vinegar and a glass of beer next to it.
