If you want to delight your family with an extraordinary dinner, I recommend trying the creamy pork stew recipe, which, next to a perfect polenta, is heaven on earth.
Table of contents
This pork stew with creme fraiche or sour cream is not missing from the family menu. Whether pork or chicken, like in a creamy homemade chicken stew recipe, the result is the same, it simply leaves your mouth watering.
Generally, we use boneless pork made of pork shoulder, ham or loin for this type of dish. But if you make it from chicken, I recommend chicken thighs or drumsticks.
Let's Start With the Ingredients
So I had a few slices of pork chop with bone, about 1 kg (2.2 pounds), which you can find in any supermarket and from which we will make this delicious recipe.
I will use a few vegetables, particularly one Kapia pepper and one and a half leeks. And at the end, we will enrich the sauce with 300 ml (1.25 cup) of creme fraiche and a bunch of chopped parsley.
Preparing the Ingredients
I took the slices of meat and boned them, but we will also use the bones in the recipe because they will give a much better taste to the stew. But of course, they will not be served on the plate.
I also removed the fat from the meat and thinned the slices a little more because they seemed too thick, but they can also be beaten a little with the meat tenderiser.
We must clean and wash the leeks and the kapia pepper, then chop them finely.
Because the ingredients are ready, we can start cooking.
How to Make the Creamy Pork Stew Recipe?
Fry the Meat
In a larger saucepan, heat five tablespoons of sunflower oil in which I put the slices of meat and bones to fry.
Cover the pan with a lid and let the meat fry for about five minutes, turning them occasionally.
Add the Vegetables
Now we can add the finely chopped leeks and kapia peppers over the meat and season everything with a tablespoon of sea salt and a teaspoon of dried marjoram.
Pour over 500 ml of hot water over the meat, add three teaspoons of a vegetable mix for soups and let it simmer under the lid over medium to low heat for about an hour.
Make it Creamy
All we have to do is add the crème Fraiche and the chopped parsley, after which we let it boil for about five more minutes.
And here we are at the end, that was it, the creamy pork stew recipe, ready to serve.
