Slow roasted leg of lamb recipe made in Greek style, served with potato salad and tzatziki reminds me of summer evenings spent in taverns.



Seasoned Leg of Lamb

Made a few holes in the leg of lamb, insert the garlic cloves, season with salt, ground pepper, paprika and garlic powder, pour over the oil and massage well.

Pre-Roasted Lamb Leg

Heat the oven to 250C (480F), insert the tray with the lamb’s leg for about 15 minutes, and then turn the meat over and fry for another 15 minutes.

Lamb Leg and Vegetables

Put onions cut in four, sliced tomatoes, garlic cloves, sliced red pepper, sun-dried tomatoes, and the bay leaves in the tray and pour the beer and the water.

Lamb is Ready to Serve

Cover it with aluminium foil and roast it at 160 C (320 F) for two hours. Halfway through the interval, turn the lamb and baste it.

Serving the Lamb Leg

Because it is a Greek recipe, serve the roasted lamb leg with a potatoes and onions salad and necessarily with traditional tzatziki.
