One of my favourite snacks has become air fryer sweet potato wedges, with paprika and oregano, an absolute pleasure to enjoy.

Equipment

  • 1 Cosori air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces sweet potatoes large size
  • 1 tsp sea salt kosher
  • ½ tsp ground pepper freshly ground
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp oregano dried
  • 1 tsp paprika sweet
  • ½ tsp allspice ground
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin

Instructions

  • Peel, then cut the sweet potatoes into wedges approximately equal in size.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 205 C (401 F) for five minutes.
  • Sprinkle all the ingredients and olive oil over the sweet potatoes, and mix them well by hand until they are covered with all the ingredients.
  • Arrange the sweet potato wedges in the basket on a single level to fry it better and faster without adding extra oil.
  • Fry them at 205 C (401 F) for 15 minutes.
  • At the halfway point of the time, take out the basket and shake it well so that the pieces of wedges turn and fry evenly.
  • Serve these delicious air fryer sweet potato wedges as appetizers or snacks with a dip or a side dish.

Notes

You can soak the potato wedges in cold water for half an hour or even more to dissolve the potatoes' starch, which helps them to be more crunchy on the outside.
To be crispy, you must wipe the potatoes well with a paper towel, so they are perfectly dry.
