Today I decided to make a recipe of special cabbage soup with pork meat, one of the family's favourites and is very common in Transylvania.



Frying Onions

In a pot, heat the sunflower oil, put the chopped onion to fry on medium heat for two minutes and season with sea salt and ground pepper.

Frying Pork Meat

After the onion has soaked, put the pork meat cut in cubes over it and let it fry a little on all sides until the meat cubes turn white.

Simmering Meat

Then add the Hungarian paprika and the crushed paprika cream, stir, pour one litre of warm water and simmer for 30-40 minutes.

Add the Cabbage

Add the sliced cabbage over the meat mix and pour over a canned chopped tomato, but you can also use tomato juice if you want.

Cabbage Soup in the Pot

Let the cabbage soften for two minutes, add the chopped dill, pour the water to fill the pot, season with sea salt and let it boil for 30-40 minutes.

Serving the Cabbage Soup

Serve warm with a little sour cream on the top, fresh bread and chilli pepper.
